• Account Information: Email Address (used for authentication and support), Password (hashed and never stored in plaintext)
• Payment Information: Stripe Payment ID (stored for purchase history, but we do not store credit card details)
• Security & Fraud Prevention: IP Address and User Agent
• Cookies & Local Storage: Authentication Cookies and user preferences
• Browser Extension Data: Stored locally only

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate users and manage accounts
• Process purchases and maintain payment records
• Prevent fraud and ensure security
• Store user preferences for a better experience
• Provide customer support

3. Data Retention & Deletion

a. Retention: Your account data is stored until you request deletion. After deletion, only a log of deleted email addresses is retained for fraud prevention.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except for:

• Passwords are securely hashed (never stored in plaintext).
• Authentication tokens are stored in HTTPS-only cookies for session management.
• No credit card data is stored on our servers.
• Two-factor authentication (2FA) is not currently offered.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

LiteRead uses cookies and local storage for:

• Maintaining authentication sessions.
• Storing user preferences.

We do not use third-party cookies or trackers.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)
